Dear Valued Guest,
As prices on supplies continue to skyrocket, as a salon company, we have decided to take a new approach to our pricing to help offset the cost of the current inflation.
Starting on May 3, 2022, our salon is taking a new and innovative approach that allows us to be transparent with our pricing. By doing this, you will never be charged any more or any less than the actual products used at your appointment. Everyone’s hair, skin and nail end goals are unique and we love that we can customize them for just you.
We are comparing this new way of pricing to "Parts + Labor," a similar model used in other industries. We are implementing a software called Salon Scale that uses customized mixing scales that not only tracks your color formula but weighs your formula to the exact gram/ounce needed. It will cut back on product waste on our end and make sure you are not being overcharged for any unnecessary product. Our current prices reflect the cost of "labor" whereas this new fee for material will be "parts." You will see the material fee clearly listed on your receipt.
On average, you can expect to pay an additional few dollars. For our more intricate services, which include multiple glazes and bowls of color, you can expect a higher increase.
As always, we intend to be transparent at the beginning and throughout your service. All pricing may fluctuate based on density, length, and desired result. A price quote contract will be produced before the start of your color service.
We want to avoid our guests being blindsided at checkout. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at [email protected].
Thank you for your continued business. We are so very grateful to have you as our guest and look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
With Warmth,
Nicole and Katie, Studio 6a Salon & Spa Staff

Why are you making this change?
To ensure that we can continue providing the quality of service you’ve become accustomed to. We want to make sure it is clear and exactly what our guest are paying for with each hair color service.
How will this affect my ticket?
You color service price is listed and there will be an added Salon Scale charge added to your ticket for the product used on your service.
Will I end up paying more?
To ensure that we can continue to deliver the quality of service you have become accustomed to. We are shifting the way our pricing is structured and only adding the exact cost of color used. Will Spa and Nails have an extra charge?
We are shifting the way our pricing is structured in our spa and nail departments as well. These will also have Salon Scale Charges for their services
Will I earn loyalty points for my salon scale purchases?
Yes! Every guest will earn 6a LOYALTY POINTS for the amount spent on salon scale 4 points x the $ amount. When you have earned 1,000 6a points you can redeem them for $5 off any retail item or salon scale charge. YAY!
